Creating a Calmer Work Environment
The "Creating a Calmer Work Environment" workshop was developed by Peter Jackson as a result of a request from a major maternity unit to address the issue of stress amongst staff there. Drawing on his expertise and the relevant evidence Peter worked to adapt some of the principles of the calmbirth® pre natal education program to create the workshop.
The initial presentation proved to be very successful and as a result Peter is now offering the workshop to midwives and medical staff in Sydney and Canberra.
"Creating a Calmer Work Environment" offers practical knowledge, skills and solutions to midwives and medical staff to help eliminate stress and anxiety experienced in the workplace and in personal life.
This workshop provides an holistic approach to maternity care in the workplace for both staff and clients. The workshop examines the important part beliefs and emotions play in creating the environment in which staff works and the labouring mother births her baby.
The principles and skills include exploration and teaching contemporary understanding of the mind body connection for personal and professional growth and experiential learning in relaxation techniques.
